A love-hate relationship with 2011

It already the 12th day of 2012, and I hope it's still not too late to recall and summarized what happened in 2011. :)21 years of my life (living my 22nd now), and I could say that the 21st one made the biggest impact in my life except the first year when I'm born. I lost many things; my home, my love, my girlfriend, and nearly the drive that kept me moving.

Close friends should know that I had shifted to amk 7 months ago, the stay there will be at least 2 years while waiting for our new house in punggol to be ready in 2013. The feeling of having to leave the place I stayed for 21 years of my life to a 'temporary home' which are located in a total different estate really sucks. Yes, Singapore is a very very small country but well, it still sucks.

Not only moving sucks, the process of hunting for a temporary home suck even more and I shall not even elaborate on that because I feel pathetic even mentioning it.

I lost my love, the love that belonged to me wholeheartedly for 3years plus, the love that I could say it's true and put in my everything. That kind of love that I introduced to my family and friends, that kind that I want it forever and don't want to stop loving. Yes, I lost that love and ironically, it's my own doings; my fault.

Now that love belonged to someone else, and the thoughts of it kills every bits of me. Unanswered questions pops out every now and then: 'How could the love that we built in 3 years be someone else's within months?' 'When did the wholeheartedly love stop and gave up on me?' The 'why, when, where, what and how' never stop harassing me and slowly, without me even noticing, I stop believing in love because maybe somehow it doesn't even exist. I know it sounds corny but at least that's how I feel now.

I lost a good girlfriend few months after, in fact, I lost a few real ones too. Stories are long and I don't intend to share. I wouldn't say who's at wrong at this point and the only thing I have to say is, people grow up and changed often times, as long as they are in different environment, changes take place. Yes, I changed and I don't regret it because the things I gained during the process are enormous. So if anyone can't take my change, it simply means he/she should not be my friends after all.

The loses I had in 2011, completely changed my life. My roller-coaster emotions marked the memories of 2011, having maybe both the lowest point and highest point of life experienced too.

Loses are huge, but the gains and changes are tremendous.

I partied a lot on the same year too, definition of 'a lots' are at least twice a week for several months, made new friends on every occasions, dated guys from clubs, got drunk and wasted for umpteen times and the puked are no longer undigested foods or unabsorbed alcohol but acids, and worst of all, hangovers are gastric cramps.

No, I'm not saying those are my gains but my gains came from all those partying. I made hell lots of friends, people from different aspects of life. They changed the way I looked at myself, the world and my perspective changed too.

The changes are good or bad, only time can tell. At least, I'm more myself now and definitely do not have to bother what other's might think of me any more, because my friends don't judge and the ones who does simply don't worth as much.

2011 wasn't a smooth year for me, though I had lots of fun and met many fun people, the sadness and tears I shed wasn't any lesser as compared to that.

And I hope, 2012, this year, gonna be better. No, I promised myself, 2012 will be a different year for me. :)

I considered myself very lucky having my dream job on the very first full-time job when I stepped into the adulthood, which many fashion diploma holder cannot even get it, not to mention, I'm only a finance student with very little knowledge in fashion but carrying a great passion in it. I am as green as the grasses you see in the field, but I'm being thrown to the shop and have to manage it on my own. From getting scolding from those bitchy customers, to getting compliment from the nicest customers. Isn't that a great achievement?

Staying in my current job means, I'm a designer and I design those gowns that brides wear while walking down the aisle, that mothers wear during their child's wedding, that expats wear during their DnD and teens wear during their proms. It also means that I'm nearer to my goal; having my own label. However, it also means that I have to work alone, learn on my own, getting unreasonable request from boss, carrying heavy responsibility, no mentor, no colleagues, no social life and most likely gonna stuck here for a very long time.

Working aboard is something that I always wanted to do. It doesn't matter where, I just want to experience a different life, away from Singapore; the country that many people said it's small and unreal. I was given a chance to work in Cambodia last year, but because I'm unprepared, I gave up that chance. Now, having another opportunity to work aboard, and especially with a good close friend going with me, I really hope I could grab it.

Last year, I'm partially attached, have not turn to a legal age, and I can't bare to leave my family.

Now, I'm single, 21 and as much as I still can't leave my family, I know I have to, because if I don't, I never will.

However, leaving means I have to be selfish, giving my family tons of worries for my safety, my families's and close friends' misses and giving my boss difficulties in manpower issue.

Went to batam with lovelies on the 18th and 19th of Sept.

It was a great trip, in fact the best trip so far! :)

I can't say enough how much I love them,

and I'm really grateful to have them in my life now.

They know me, understand me and accept me for who I am.

They don't judge, criticize and comment on my doings.

They support and advise.

they are simply the best! :)

Just a little update of my recent life.

My life had changed pretty much over the past few months. Not only that my family and I had shifted to the south part of Singapore, I had also changed 2-3 jobs in between.

Life at the south were seriously more accessible than the East, it's nearer to my workplace and town area; travelling to city hall only takes me 30 mins, and to Orchard only need 15-18mins. But I really miss everything in my old place; friends, and everything there. Surprisingly, the most I miss about was the simple life, that life that I can travel to his house as and when I like it, just to lie on the bed with that black poney. Well, what's over are over now, so look forward and move on then! :)

Work is a bitch now, really a bitch. As much as I love working in that environment, but the people there really can affect me a lot! Well, I told myself to be a slave and work like a dog for this 1-2years, learn as much as I could and just suck it up!

I'm glad I found this saying just in time to motivate me : "he that can't endure the bad will not live to see the good."

Over the past 3 months, many things changed; People who cared, don't care anymore. People who I just knew, involved too much. People who I took for granted, no longer allows me to. People who used to depend on me, became independent. And because of all those changes, what used to be very important to me, seem less important now and what I didn't notice in the past are what I'm longing to have it again.

My mindset changed, perspective changed.

Sould I say I'm more mature now, or I'm just plain childish in the past?

Till the mover comes, I still have 7 hours. And you know what, this feeling sucks! I know I wouldn't felt this way, if I'm moving to our new house, but now, it's to the last place I ever want to shift in to.

I hate to feel so weak now, wanted to rant on facebook and twitter but I thought that would rather be childish and annoying. So here, the only space I would call it my own.

My uncle has weak heart and kidney,

Finally done with the photoshoot, now left with editing the photos!

Below are some photos that I took when preparing for the shoot, during the shoot and after the shoot!

We stayed up till 6am(sun) in the morning to rush for the photoshoot accessories.
Poor Lucas even stayed over to finish them up.
I went home at about 6am,
and headed back to shop at about 9.30am.
So basically, we haven't slept for more than 24 hours!

Was rushing out designs for this coming Sunday photo shoot.
I'm so happy that I'm involved in designing of the outfit.
As I had not master my skill of drawing,
told Lucas my ideas and he draw it out and we went up to our workshop to look for suitable fabrics and matching accessories. :)

It has been years since our last sunday flea market.
Somehow, kinda miss that period of FLEA season when the girls made it to a point that we will held a flea market like every month.

Thank you, for being the trigger of the tears, because of that I realised how much I have been swallowing in and putting up a strong face telling everyone and especially myself everything it's gonna be fine.

Dr lee bought a new table for his room, so we clean up his room and move everything to the second room. He had tons and tons of medical magazines, report and blah blah blah. Some are way back to 1998! He just don't bare to throw away, or plain lazy to sort them up!

And this is the only time dilla and i could nag him about those rubbish! Hahas. So shiok!

So when moving the table, dilla was like giving instructions to dr lee. ''ehh, you hold here.''

LOL! Heard that my minah is coming back to work! More laughter coming in!! :) yeahhh! Hope she can last long long with us this time round.

Saw syc, and i was so happy to see him there. Haven seen him for ages, and glad that he is doing great now. :)

Saw alot of look-alike people. Like i thought i saw candy, and i kept staring at that girl so i texted candy. But she replied 'ph??'. So i knew that candy-look-alike wasn't candy. Hahas! You know club lights lah!

When you are in the dance floor, and super sober. You can see alot alot of things happening, like I saw 3 couples making-out, and the bouncer had to flash light at them to stop them. I saw fights, or rather almost-fight. I saw guys hooking on girls, which pains me because that guy look like someone; made me picture what I heard.

Oh well, that's a night life in club.

Reached home and bathed. Saw this bruise on my hand and wonder how i got that. Hahas.

Got to work later at 12pm, which pays me $15 an hour. :) $$$

Thomas asked us to pick out 10 different types of garment details from the magazines and the last group to get it done will have dance infront of the class tomorrow morning.

And this activity totally wake us up and we were like a bunch of crazy people flipping the magazines pages, tearing out what's relevant,cutting and paste the correct ones. It was fun when we debate which is which.

Tml gonna be another fun day too! Market research, which also mean shopping around town! Yeahhhh! :)

School itself is already taking almost one full day because it's like 9am - 6pm, and there are limited things to do after 6pm; specially when I'm at redhill.

This week lessons are on production drawing, and it's kinda fun too. Love it! Love my trainer, Thomas! Love my classmates! Love my life now! Everything seem well on track, specially the one that I'm most concern about. =p

Next week lessons are on production drawing, and Thomas said we will have a full day shopping trip at those atas malls, I'm sooooo looking forward to that! =D

It's the 3rd, and we had written test today, practical tomorrow and oral test on friday! OMG! Though it's all open book, but till, it's only the 3rd day of school! hahas. Lucky I'm able to answer all the questions in today's written test!

We learnt to recognise fabric's name, their content, how they are made and much much more! Really interesting! And yesterday, we come across this fantastic fabric which are waterproof and LOOK how cool they are! The water droplets are like dancing on the fabric! One of them are the fabric that army used for their coats/sweater which cost about USD120 per garment! RICH sia!

Took my first circle line ride yesterday! Was rushing from school to work, and didn't have the time for dinner so Dilla and I shared the snacks below! =x It's like school ends at 6pm, and work start on 7pm! 1 hour to rush from redhill to paya lebar! I'm such a responsible staff, Dr Lee should just increase my pay! hahas!

Well, first day of school ended smoothly! =D

I didn't sleep last night; I'm not sure if I'm too nervous and excited about the first day of school or I slept too much the day before. My mind were all flash back of the past, present and future, and it doesn't seem to stop. Hopefully, I will be able to sleep peacefully later. Though, I still have to revise on what was taught today. =)

Taf.tc is really good, they provide us with all learning materials and stationary.

School gonna start in less than 3 days time, and I'm super excited about it. Never had I once felt this kind of excitement towards studying/lessons/classes. Never had I ever see myself attending something that might make my dream come true and bring me closer to who I wanna be. I'm always those take-whatever-it-comes, and drives along the safest route. I'm not a risky person and always love comfort zone. But now, I'm so sick of being that kind of person, and sometimes I get bored being one.

Had always been saying I want make this, sew that, do this, design that and blah blah blah. And NEVER actually make any out of it! **I still owed Shenn her make up case, and owed myself some vintage tops which I got the materials and yet to be done!

Went to the taf.tc (my school) yesterday, signed bond, met my new class mates, made some friends and attended the class briefing. Love the class structure, love the people and love the trainers! YEAH, gonna have a blast and I'm quite sure about it!

I'll study like never before! =D

Hahas! Had a sudden feelings for zebra print so decided to DIM a handphone casing, will be doing for my nails once I bought the nails colours! hehe!

Well, it was actually a pure white casing.

So that was the first few 'strokes' of the prints.

FYI: I used some permanent marker for the drawing.

Saw that ugly white area? =(

That stroke was too thick and it made my drawing don't look like zebra prints,

so used white nail polish to cover it.

I also sprayed 2 layer of Acrylic Coating to protect it!

Happy 21st babe!

Went to Wendy's 21st party last friday, she held her party at NSRCC; it's a very nice place indeed. Thought of having my 21st there too, but one bad point about it was super inconvenient. The main road was super far from the chalet and even so, there isn't many cab there too. Though they provide shuttle bus services, but the last service is 8.30pm; where got people so early go home for a party?

anyway still got like almost 1 year to my 21st, so I can slowly find. =x gan jiong spider!

Last Friday - 15/01/10

Went to Nafa open house. I wasn't so troubled before I went there, but I'm super vexed about it now. How? People who know me long and well definitely knows that I have a passion for fashion designing, and my dream is to have my own fashion label.

Without much knowledge on that area (compared to those who have dip/degree in fashion design, I know nuts k), how am I going to fulfil my life's dream? I really want the dip that nafa offered, but I got no fund to do so. It's $7000 per year, and I need to take 3 year to finish that course (what! another 3 years?), the 4th year will be a degree. Although, the school fees will only have to be made every 1 term, but how am I going to squeeze out $3.5k every 6months? Furthermore, I really don't want to take my parents' money anymore as they had already paid for my poly dip. If take a loan from bank, every month will have to pay the instalment of about $500. WHERE TO FIND THAT SUM OF MONEY? FYI, I'm only earning about $400 per month from clinic.

Got my post birthday present from Mich, I love it! It's my happiest presents so far, but I'm not saying the rest are not. She got me a dodo BB cream, sasa gel liner and elf eye colour. I shall do the review of the products later on when I got the time, I heard that dodo BB cream are not bad as they give enough coverage and oil control as well. I'm so going to try tml! =D

Sasa's Sale rep was like telling me that Dr G BB cream is the best seller, but was fucking $49.90 if i'm not wrong. I'm new to bb cream and some more I'm choosing for my bday present, how can I let mich pay that amount! Hahas. So asked for a lower range and sale rep recommended cyber colours($29.90). End up, I decided no to buy as I really need the gel liner badly(could only get either one, don't want Michy to pay too much), but that michy girl became the one who wanted to buy when she only listened to me saying bb cream was good. Stayed at sasa for almost an hour then decided not to buy. Went to John little, and saw dodo club! God damn happy and rushed to sign up the John Little member card to get 20% off store wide! HEHE. Now 2 happy kids! LOL.

We didn't have a good new year countdown for 2009,

It was fun, but that amount we paid were too much for that kind of environment.

We booked a Beach View Premier.

So we expected to have a beach view in front or back of our chalet.

but.....

Therefore, we made a complaint to the reception.

They claimed they made a mistake.

and promised to refund $40 to us.

but in 7-14 working days.

We requested to change room instead of refund : no vacancies

We requested to get a bbq pit intead of refund: bbq and chalet different in-charge, so can't.

So we can't do anything but to wait for the refund.

Well, that's the condition of the toilet.

That many ants!

I'm not sure if all room's condition is the same.

but ya, shouldn't they put in more effort in cleaning every room?

Well, everything there have to rent.

We have to rent a electric kettle for $5 per night which other resort can offer for free.

No kettle, and gold kist actually pasted a sticker saying 'Singapore water is safe for drinking'.

There are no table as well, we have rent a table for $11 per night.

Next time, I'll open a chalet resort.

ZOUKOUT 2009!

Finally, I went Zoukout!

It was some event that I have been wanting to go since the year before.

It was a agreement with someone to go together; we set it a 'must' to go.

Never had I ever thought of; I went with another group of friends.

Well well well...

Zoukout was fun yet tiring.

The place was god damn big!

I like the atmosphere there, it really gives me the wanna-enjoy feel.

Initially, we are like noob who knows nothing about Zoukout.

We didn't know there were 4 arena. We thought there are only 2 stages; trans and techno.

Lucky we had enough alcohol to enjoy the music.

After like 2-3hours, we then realised there were another stage at another side of siloso which played our music!

We ran like the show 'Couple Retreat'; the Eden east and west.

Walked passed many christmas tree that day,

seeing everyone anticipating for Christmas,

I realised I'm wasn't looking forward to it at all.

Got to work on Christmas Eve and got no plan on that day too.

Except dinner with Ver&Reu on 23rd and Family dinner on 25th.

BUT EVE IS MORE IMPORTANT than actual day. =(

Oh ya, Power House is really power! Shall go there more often! Met a few friends there too; Abang Aziz, Darren, Jun Hao and my dearest long lost Zancious mate, Zhi Wen with his beehive head! Zhi Wen is working at station kitchen and when I saw him, he was bbq-ing hotdogs. LOL. I was on the phone with Michelle and I passed the phone over to Zhi wen, Michelle was like 'Huh, What you doing at there (St James)?' Zhiwen was like 'bbq-ing hotdogs loh!' Damn funny.

Alright, got to sleep now! Up coming weeks gonna be busy, I'll have to chiong my project already! Argh.

It will always follow me, remind me and tell me how was it like when being left alone; walking.

I never felt so pathetic before.

This handsome boy here is already 7 years old; time really passed so fast. It feels like only yesterday that my cousin announced to us about the pregnancies, it's like only yesterday that we visited him and my cousin in KKH, and it's like only yesterday that I'm holding his little hand, teaching him how to walk.

This few years were a baby boom season in my family, there are like 6 new family members; Travis is the eldest among them, and our new born baby girl, Reagel, is the youngest. She look exactly like her sister, Gerwaine, as both of them have very chubby cheek when they are born. I've yet to have her photos, will post it up once I have them. =)

Travis is still my favourite, though he is the 'oldest'!

Managed to chat with him in Msn today,

he had been asking me when am I going to my auntie's place to play with him.

Now he is having his holidays, shall bring him out this week then!

Had our first photo shoot at jas's house, photos pretty well taken and I'm guilty to say, I'M STILL EDITING THEM! I'm really busy with my school work and people's life. Bought many food to kassy's house after the photo shoot, I love the way we are together; talking nonsense, making fool of each other and sharing each other food. I just can't get enough.

Mummy told me we might be selling our house and moved to a 3-room flat as father had approached my cousin to help us look for a 3-room flat at Tampines area. All I could think of is 'Yeaah! I'm going to have a new room.'

He told me he know her, and said she is very famous. So I went to watch at more of her videos, and it make me realised how weak my make up skills was. Nabei....

All right, for the next few paragraphs, I’m going to be childish, and I'm not going to give a damn to any comments because the kid is angry now.

For a 6 long years of friendship, one can just say let go and then let go. By deleting us in Facebook and MSN, and kept saying 'the separation is good', do you think it will really worked and those memories we had together will really be deleted as well?

I have to admit, I'm not as happy as how I sound like when I realised you deleted us. What is the purpose of doing that; was it preventing us from doing the same thing as how we do to M? Oh ya girl, don't forget you are one of them too. Or was it to prevent us from viewing your profile and pictures, but girl, we can do the same thing with other people's profile; you can consider deleting all of the friends we knew too. I don't understand why you are doing this, right until now I still think it’s ridiculous.

You forgo this friendship just because we have different religion views and just because we weren't there when you needed us, so that made us no longer your true friends? Not telling us your problems, telling only the one you usually stick to and when they show you care and concern, it made us not showing concern to you?

You know we all are grown-ups now, having separate ways and thoughts and no longer being together as much often to notice each other problems. And because of those circumstances, it made us not your important ones? So now, should I say you weren’t my true friend just because you weren’t there when I’m facing my own family problem? And can I say you are no longer Shenn’s true friend when she is having relationship problems, and you wasn't there when she need someone? Jas is having problem deciding her future, you wasn't there to help her up, so what now? No true friends already? Is this how you define the duty of a ‘True friend’? So when you came crying to me, telling me your problems with F and your family problems, I was there with you at that time and that made me your true friend? But just because under the current circumstances, I’m not able to spend as much time with you, it made me no longer your true friend? What a joke.

Whenever we asked you out, you will always say the same old things, or just replied with just a 'No.' or 'Nobody informed me, and it doesn't matter.' With that kind of tone and reply, how do you want us to say any further? I need to clarify this too, we weren’t angry with you not attending any of those important dates but with the way you treated us. You yourself know it; I don’t have to explain any further. And oh, did we even ask you not to go for your grandfather’s birthday?

When I realised, you have not delete me away from fb and msn, I'm relieved; as least I know you still regard me as your friend. Darling, for 6 long years, the bad and happiness we had together, and now you can regard them as zero. I don't understand. Both of us are the one that walked deep into each other heart. For me, that kind of bond cannot be replaced; Michelle and you were the one that walked deep, real deep into my heart. If you weren't important, I wouldn't have made the call that day, the call that saved us.

Do you even know, deep inside me, I'm happy for you being able to found something you like and you can really busy with. I'm happy for you.

It all doesn't seem important any more, you've made your choice.
